Bill Calculator As A USB Application

How do you use your USB drive?

I bet 95% of the USB flash memory drives sold in world are used as either A: a brochure or catalogue for a product line or B:  a way to store data or copy data to use it to another drive. That’s it A or B.

But these little devices, and man are they getting little, can do so much more. They can run your applications, specifically instead of keeping these devices hanging around with random data on them why not put them to real use.

I bet there are 100’s of tasks that you do once a day or couple of times a month where having the application and the data in your pocket would make it convenient for you. Look at your IPhone, you probably have 100 “apps” on your personal phone alone.

Your USB drives can also run applications once plugged into a host computer. You can take those applications from computer to computer without leaving a trace!

A couple simple examples:

1) Securely log into your bank using a usb drive vs logging in specifically from one computer or one phone.

2)Securely log onto your GMail or Yahoo email account without leaving any trace on the host computer you are using.

3)Password retrieval

4)A monthly bill calculator that has a simple excel spreadsheet on it to allow you to catalogue, record, and calculate your personal or business expenses on one portable drive that can be used at work and at home.

One day we will all be in the electronic cloud where networking issues seldom popup. But there will always be a need to have data held locally, held securely where we want to bring it from one host computer to the next without leaving a data trail. Monthly bill calculator, password retrieval, email, banking all things that we would like to keep as private as possible. These are tasks that I would like to have as applications on a USB flash memory drive.
